2014 Weinbach "Cuv̩e Laurence" GewÌ_rztraminer Alsace

Bright lemon-yellow. Pure aromas of musky lime, mango and sweet herbs are lifted by a spicy note. Juicy and intense, with plenty of fresh acidity enlivening the flavors of tropical fruits, lime and cinnamon; some smoky botrytis provides another dimension. Finishes long but a little hard, with a mineral element. Neither especially fat nor oily, this graceful wine is made from grapes grown on the lower slopes of the Altenbourg. (IDA)
