2013 Bishop's Peak Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque ruby. Dark berries, licorice, cedary oak and a hint of pipe tobacco on the pungent nose. Gently sweet and velvety in the mouth, offering warm cherry and blackcurrant flavors and a hint of bitter chocolate. Dusty tannins frame the smoke-accented finish, which leaves behind a touch of coconut. This wines was aged in a 50/50 blend of French and American oak, 30% of it new. (JR)
