2011 Lucien Le Moine Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru

The 2011 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru has a more complex bouquet than the Charmes with subtle scents of red cherries, red currant and pomegranate seed intermingling with vanilla pod. The palate is very well-structured, a little tighter than the nose suggests, but with superb grip on the finish. This is one of Mornir‰۪s vin de gardes. Excellent. (NM)
