2010 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion

One of the largest of the St. Emilion estates, Troplong Mondot's 33 hectares of vineyard are extremely impressive. Wonderful exposure, fine drainage through the top layer of clay and deep limestone base, older vines averaging 35 years and up to 90 years old and avoidance of vineyard chemical treatments combine to produce a consistently spectacular wine. Troplong Mondot is planted with 90% Merlot and 5% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
