2010 DuMol "Ryan" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

This is the fourth release of the small production DuMol "Ryan," which comes from young vines planted at the DuMol estate in the Green Valley sub-appellation of California's Russian River. Aged for 14 months in 55% new French oak, this has a wonderfully perfumy bouquet that combines red fruit, fresh herbs, violets, rose petals and chocolate. Everything is deftly interwoven on the palate, with an underpinning of ni̤oise olives and orange zest. Good acidic lift and nice grip. Drink now and over the next decade.
