2009 Domaine Louis Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Perrieres"

The 2009 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrieres is another fairly immediate, round wine. With time in the glass the wine opens to reveal pretty layers of fruit. There is an attractive inner minerality here that makes me think the Perrieres isn‰۪t showing all of its cards just yet. This is an attractive, sensual Burgundy that will drink beautifully, especially if given another year or two. Today it is a bit on the simple side. (AG)
