Sumptuous cassis and blackberry nose, with some stylish new oak. Sleek and broad, with flesh and weight, a hedonistic style for St Estephe, with bold but fine-grained tannins, ample acidity, and considerable energy and lift on the finish. Excellent balance and length. (SB)
