2004 Couly Dutheil Clos de l'Echo Chinon

Still a bit restrained, with a toasty aroma slowly giving way to a very structured core of black cherry, currant, iron and black olive notes. There's lots of grilled herb and mineral on the finish, with good underlying flesh. Drink now through 2011. 100 cases imported.
