2013 Thomas Fogarty "Langley Hill Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay

The 2013 Chardonnay Langley Hill Vineyard is all about brightness and focus, with plenty of floral and green orchard fruit. This is one of the more aromatic, lifted Chardonnays in the range. Beams of acidity give the 2013 an added kick of energy on the close. The 2013 finishes with knock-out aromatics and tons of complexity. This stylish, impeccable Chardonnay should drink well for at least a handful of years. Thomas Fogarty remains the single most exciting estate in the Santa Cruz Mountain people have likely never heard about. Then again, production levels are tiny. The wines have gone from strength to strength since I started following the estate a few years back...Readers should do whatever they can to taste these fine, handcrafted wines from proprietor Tommy Fogarty and winemaker Nathan Kandler.
