2013 Louis M. Martini "Monte Rosso Vineyard - Gnarly Vine" Sonoma Valley Zinfandel

An absolutely killer wine from their famous vineyard is the 2013 Gnarly Vine Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard. This is no wimpy wine at 16.2% alcohol, but wow, it delivers the goods. Full-bodied, exuberant, with an opaque purple color, big, briary blackberry and black raspberry fruit, as well as some roasted herbs and grilled meats jump from the glass of this full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal, intense Zinfandel. Drink it over the next 8-10 years. (RP)
