The dark ruby 2013 Kloof Street Swartland Rouge is 85% Syrah, 9% Carignan and the rest Cinsault, Mourv̬dre and Grenache. Their tribute to the Southern Rh̫ne of France, the wine possesses more of a St.-Joseph than C̫tes du Rh̫ne-like style. It displays cool, peppery, smoky, meaty notes, good acidity, strawberry and cherry. (RP)
