2013 Joseph Swan "Kent the Younger" Russian River Valley Chardonnay

I've been working in the wine and spirits industry for going on about five years now, and in that time, I've developed an inherent bias towards products with names involving people's ages. Surely, this has to do with my dis-taste for a certain hoppy brand of brew, and yet - here I am, absolutely loving KENT THE YOUNGER, and his surprisingly mature Chardonnay. Produced from the wonderful Ritchie vineyard, this is a balanced and lively wine that makes the most of its pear essence, citrus, and strong aromatics. It's creamy texture coats my mouth in the most perfect way as I ruminate on just how many more bottles of this can I afford! After a brief thought, I think I'll over-extend myself.
