2013 Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudesir"

The 2013 Chablis Vaudesir jumps from the glass with bright citrus, almonds, white flowers, mint, slate and crushed rocks. A wine of substantial energy and tension, the Vaudesir captures so much of what makes Chablis so compelling. Soft, gently spiced notes from the partial vinification in oak (35%) wrap around the striking, nuanced finish. (AG)
