2013 Jacques Bavard Auxey-Duresses Rouge

In the past it has always been Jacques Bavard's whites in particular that have drawn my attention. While that continues to be the case (his 2014 whites are predictably fantastic) I was quite impressed with this slightly foresty, floral, dark-fruited, rather tense and linear Pinot Noir - lots of intrigue and charm, especially for under $20!
