2012 Paul Lato "Atticus - John Sebastiano Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

The 2012 Pinot Noir Atticus John Sebastiano Vineyard is one of the more lifted, perfumed wines in this range, that is until the Sta. Rita Hills depth kicks in. Tea leaves, mint, dried flowers, red stone fruits and anise are all alive in the glass. The 2012 is quite pretty, if a touch eccentric. Hints of rosewater, kirsch and sweet red cherries are laced into the finish. (AG)
