2012 Howard Park "Scotsdale Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon Great Southern Western Australia

The 2012 Scotsdale Cabernet Sauvignon is a very deep purple-black 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made with fruit from 33-year-old vines. At first the nose is slightly closed giving subtle notes of crushed blackberries, redcurrants and black cherries with touches of cloves, Provence herbs and pepper. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers great freshness and plenty of red and blackberry flavor layers with a medium to firm level of chewy tannins and a crisp acid line.
