2012 Groth "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a very pretty, mid-weight wine. Eucalyptus, mint, rose petal and bright red berry are pushed forward in an attractive, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon built on class. The tannins are still a bit sinewy, so a few more years in bottle will only be beneficial. Today, it is the wine‰۪s brightness and freshness that are most impressive. This is a very pretty, understated Cabernet Sauvignon that will appeal most to classically leaning palates. (AG)
