2011 Villa Creek "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah

The 2011 Syrah James Berry Vineyard is another deep, intense wine. Plum, black cherries, smoke, tobacco and licorice wrap around the palate as the 2011 opens up. The 50% stems are barely noticeable, if at all. Villa Creek's James Berry Syrah is built on density and pure, unbridled power, both signatures of this great Paso Robles site. The 2011 is 95% Syrah and 5% Roussanne aged in 60% new oak. (AG)
