2011 Samsara "Cargasacchi Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

Bright ruby-red. A highly perfumed nose presents fresh raspberry, lavender, pungent herbs and smoky minerals. Alluringly fresh and sweet, with deep but lively red berry liqueur flavors, a hint of blood orange and tangy minerality that gains strength with air. Finishes sappy, sweet and very long, with sly tannins making a late appearance and fading quickly into the wine's lush fruit. (JR)
