2011 Pasetti Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Deep purple-ruby. Almost overripe dark fruits and musky herbs on the opulent nose. Fresher on the palate: fleshy and open-knit, offering gently sweet blackberry and tar flavors that firm up with air. A hint of pepper adds bite to the long, smoke-tinged finish. (Ian D'Agata)
