2011 Certan de May, Pomerol

Black with soft purple rim. Unusual nose ‰ÛÒ lots of sweet red and dark fruit with rosemary and herbs. Ripe, very ripe damsons, almost raisiny. Firm, dry and dark, fine-grained and fluid but very introvert at the moment even though the fruit flavour is verging towards overripe.
