2010 Jada Winery "Jersey Girl" Paso Robles Syrah

(100% syrah): Inky purple. Spicy blackberry and licorice aromas are complicated by suggestions of smoky minerals and violet. Very syrah! Sweet red and dark berry flavors show very good depth and definition, with anise, olive and candied floral qualities building with air. The clean, persistent finish offers a zesty kick of cracked pepper, along with echoing dark berry notes. (JR)
