2009 Domaine de la Jaufrette Ch̢teauneuf-du-Pape

The Chateauneuf is the richest by far of the three but never heavy. The 2009 shows ripe fruit flavors, but a little time in the bottle has softened the tannic structure and allowed the minerality to shine through. Reminds me of the classic Chateauneufs from the 80s and 90s but with a little more polished mouthfeel. I put a couple of these away to discover in a few more years but I am truly pleased to drink this now.
