2007 Joseph Swan "Saralee's Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Joseph Swan is my favorite producer of Pinot Noir in California, and their Saralee's Vineyard bottling my favorite wine. I bought a case of the 2006. The Saralee's bottlings typically display high-toned red fruits with notes of cranberry, rhubarb, and pomegranate. This 2007 vintage is a little riper in style with a lovely sour cherry character. While it can be a little reserved when first released, this 2007 has spent an extra couple of years in the cellar at the winery and is ready to drink now. Enjoy it with a meal of grilled salmon or classic roast chicken. Superb!
