2002 Vineyard 29 "Aida" Napa Valley Zinfandel

The noteworthy 2002 Aida Zinfandel (275 cases) comes across much like a Chateauneuf du Pape. Aged in American oak, this deep ruby/purple-tinged Zin reveals notes of Provencal herbs intermixed with freshly ground pepper, plums, cherries, and kirsch liqueur. It possesses excellent texture, a full-bodied palate, wonderful density, and a chewy, heady, hedonistic personality. (RP)
