This is the still the best Le Bon Pasteur ever for me and it was drinking beautifully last week in Hong Kong. The Pomerol showed so much richness and sweetness in fruit with lots of dried fruit character as well as black truffles and leaf. It was full body and very velvety textured. Tangy and fresh. This was from magnum. Le Bon Pasteur was the family property of Michel Rolland, the famous international consulting enologist, until earlier this year when he sold it to a Chinese businessman. Michel says nothing has changed in the winemaking. I am curious to see if the 2010 or 2009 will turn out as great as the 1982.
