1978 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac

The Lynch-Bages vineyards are located on the Bages plateau, one of the great terroirs of the Pauillac appellation. The estate, once belonging to the Lynch family of Irish descent, passed to Jean-Charles Cazes in 1934. Jean-Michel Cazes, his grandson, restructured the estate in 1974 by upgrading the winemaking equipment, but kept the former wooden vats in order to preserve the estate's history.
